The Europeans know that the UK will take the majority of any extra migrants, like they know London will take the brunt of a financial transaction tax. I'm all for skilled Indians coming to the UK, to add value, pay taxes, etc. But foreign subsidiaries should employ local staff when ever possible. That goes for British firms in India as well. The EU, France in particular seems to encourage illegal immigrants and asylum seekers to keep on moving into the UK. The UK is rarely the first entry point. This spoils it for everyone - the legal migrants. Unemployment means that the current levels of immigration are unsustainable. If we cant employ our native population, how can we employ foreign migrants.
